Hi all,
 
I'm making good progress with hierarchic design in sch-rnd. I think it 
will be alpha-testable within a couple of days. Once I get there, the 
project could use some alpha testing. We always have more resuidal bugs if 
I'm the only one who test things, during development.
 
 
 
If you are interested in hierarchic schematics and you are willing to do 
early tests, please contact me.
 
 
 
Notes: 
 
- hierarchic means a sheet explicitly refers to another; if you just want 
to have multiple sheets, that doesn't need hierarchy (can be done in flat 
multisheet already for a very long time)
 
- this affects sch-rnd only at the moment, pcb-rnd's subc-in-subc is still 
a long temr TODO, not covered by the current effort
 
- the code has provisions for doing hierarchic exports long term, but at 
the moment we always flatten the data for the abstract model and the 
export is done from the abstract model; so if you are looking for 
graphical spice frontend that supports spice-hierarchical, non-flattened 
netlist, we are not yet there and current effort is not covering that (but 
it may be possible long term)
