I started to implement it earlier, for pcb-rnd (because I have a pen plotter), but then it went on hold for higher prio tasks. I think this will end up being the now usual split plugin: most of it in librnd, with a thin layer for passing on the objects from pcb-rnd and another similar small glue plugin from sch-rnd and a third from camv-rnd.
