Subject: | [pcb-rnd] librnd: project state update (upcoming release) |
Hi all, there's an upcoming librnd release, 3.2.2, next week. The project is entering the usual code freeze. Please test svn HEAD, which is our release candidate and report any bug. Only release-critical bugs will be fixed before the release (other reports will be saved on the TODO). Next development cycle is the librnd4 switchover, required to perform about 103 API changes I've collected on the TODO during sch-rnd development. There are a lot of smaller itmes, like renaming some things for more cosistent naming or removing some old API nothing uses anymore (which requires the major version change for compatibility reasons) and a few large ones (refactorings). Now that we have all the basic apps for Ringdove EDA (sch-rnd, pcb-rnd, camv-rnd), librnd API has probably seen all use cases we would have for a long time. Which means once librnd 4.0.0 is out, it will last long without a major verison change. Best regards, Igor2
