Subject: | [pcb-rnd] pcb-rnd: default file name ending switchover, please test |
Hi all, I've just executed the switchover to the new default file name endings in pcb-rnd, as we voted a few weeks ago: - .rp for Ringdove PCB files (a.k.a. board files, used to be .lht) - .rf for Ringdove Footprint files (used to be .fp) Please test if it works properly, especially if it breaks your existing Makefiles or other scripts. I've added extra code to make sure it doesn't work differently with the old file names. So you don't need to go and rename files in existing projects. (If you don't want to, you don't need to go and use the new file naming convention in new projects either - aside of some convenience optimizations that can be easily worked around, pcb-rnd doesn't care about the file name, only about file content.) Reminder: we had to mess with the default file naming convention beause sch-rnd sheets would have defaulted to .lht too, just like our original pcb-rnd board files. TIA, Igor2
