Hi I have also a wrong opinion. I hate stupid three letter suffixes which have= no use. If some idiotic tool doesn't force to use I don't use. Most of the time I name my files project_part_(schematics|documentation|sim= ulation|layout|notes)_version_$target So my proposal is that let it be .lht and let tool decide what to do. And i= f this is too bad for some automation, writing a small tool, let's say for = example ringdove which can tell what file it is if it isn't otherwise known= and even pass the parameters to proper tool Vuokko ________________________________________ From: John Griessen <john@cibolo.com> Sent: Saturday, July 9, 2022 6:05 PM To: pcb-rnd@list.repo.hu Subject: Re: [pcb-rnd] file name policy change proposal On 7/8/22 23:33, Gabriel Paubert wrote: > I wonder if we can find a > shorter variant, because my user preference is not to make file names > longer. layout schematic rly rsc rcb rsc -- John
