Usually do then circuit board ready to order and stored in a folder
together with gerber files.

Never.

A few years ago.
Divorsed and have better economy now and have also ordered circuit board
for lower price.

Think it was a few months ago, usually a few different each time because
of freight cost. Quite many the last years and at least one including
populating it planned within a few months + maybe one or two more only
fabricate boards. Soldered first revision of a small board manufactured
by professional vendor the last week but might have been one or two
years since it was manufactured.
