First please try this: file, import, Import kicad/eeschema on the .net 
file. I expect that to fail too.

I do not have kicad, so I can't export that file. When reporting bug, 
please always try to report it in a way that it is complete: if it depends 
on a file, make that file accessible!  Without the file I really can't do 
anything about this.
