Sorry, these are contradicting with pcb-rnd's architecture and vision. Netlist file: it's handled by the import schematics plugin. It has its own window that does exactly what you want. Just use that. You can get to it using this menu: file, import, configure import schematics. This can't be in the preferences window, because that would ruin modularity: it would make the preferences window hardwire things for the import schematics plugin or the other way around. Plus note: the format of what you specify, e.g. file name(s) or other data, is backend specific. Backends are known by the import schematics plugin and is unknown in the preferences dialog. Project file: we have a well documented project file format and project file access. It does not require any configuration and you can not specify its file name anywhere, because you don't need to. Thus it can't have an input box in the preferences window. Documentation about this in the user manual: it's called project.lht and lives in the same directory as your board file(s). Config role is called 'project', see http://repo.hu/projects/pcb-rnd/conf/sources.html You can learn more about how it's combined with other config sources: http://repo.hu/projects/pcb-rnd/conf/index_user.html File format spec: http://repo.hu/projects/pcb-rnd/developer/lihata_format/tree.html#/lht_tree_doc/roots/coraleda-project-v1 Best regards, Igor2
