Hackaday linked to a new, open edge connector proposal https://hackaday.com/2020/11/28/this-debug-connector-brings-your-issues-to-the-edge/ I have made some pcb-rnd versions of the footprints and sent a pull request. https://github.com/erichVK5/DebugEdge/tree/main/pcb-rnd It remains to be seen if the proposal gets any traction. The kicad footprints in the repo were a bit of an ugly hack with pads overlapping polygons. I have made each polygon a proper padstack in a pcb-rnd subc. Regards, Erich.
