Hi Erich, I like the concept but I don't think I would want to just let an auto router loose on my schematic. I think the output in the schematic capture program should look more like the drc window in pcb-rnd. A list of nets that it highlights instead of a list of nets it draws. The reason is simple, the way I layout the schematics nets is very intentional and meant to be readable. I don't believe an auto router would be able to do that or avoid smashing it after a dozen or so annotations. Funny you bring this up. I have been thinking about the problem of back annotation with hierarchical schematics more and more lately but I won't take this thread off topic with that.
