Yes but I expect the reverse convert .stl to .step is worse since .stl is a mesh. Tried to figure out if .step stor the original geometry but are a little bit uncertain, better to keep geometry and convert to mesh then needed but I do not complain abot possibility to import .stl file.
 
Tried to read exported openscad file in both openscad and Freecad, import seems to work but view is empty. Freecad show some information about file and text file look OK.
 
Currently make drawing of a simple electronic enclosure but I just copied circuit board geometry and added parts at edges where it should be holes in enclosure so I could get them in correct position.
