The buttons themselves are fixed (they now show up with borders and are a
different colour). However when you drag them the item that you're dragging
around is still black-on-black and can't be seen.
+ BUG: cross section: view gets fooled when open with board looked at from
the bottom - kills drag&drop coords and fools zooming [report: Majenko]

The zooming now works fine, but the coordinates when dragging a new layer,
etc, are still reversed.
