It works for me for a few test cases. I've been using the new import
regularly since it came out and have never had a problem.
 
While I have some new projects in the pipleline, I'm not going to work
heavily on pcb layouts for the next 5 weeks or so. However I still test
it regularly for minor touch-ups of existing projects and compiling
pcb-rnd is one of my first tasks every morning.
