Subject: | [pcb-rnd] user help request: extending io_ support (proprietary EDA |
Hi all, an important strategy of pcb-rnd is extending our io_ (file format) support, loading and sometimes saving files in formats of other EDA packages. This is always done with help of contributors. I am now looking for more formats for 2020. Please answer me, preferrably in private, if you have access to any of these software: - eagle (6.x and above) (pcb) - pads (pcb) - orcad (pcb or sch) - altium (pcb or sch) - cadence allegro (pcb or sch) - CircuitLogix (sch) - DipTrace (pcb or sch) Please include the following info in your answer: - the version and/or release date of the software - limitations (e.g. demo version, access only at work, or you can access it only on some special site you normally visit only once a month) - how well you can use the software (on the scale of "seen it only once, peeking over the shoulder of a collegue" to "I maintain my own part library including custom padstack, doing my 6 layer FPGA boards at work 30+ hours a week") - how much you know about the file format(s) of the software NOTE: I know there is a large number of emerging free EDA tools, but in this round I am not interested in those, only in proprietary EDA packages. So please do _not_ write that you have access to FreePCB, Fritzing, etc. TIA, Igor2
