I think the official package for Ubuntu 18.04 is an older 1.x version of 
pcb-rnd.  The "bleeding edge" version of Ubuntu, 19.04, has a fairly 
recent 2.x version of pcb-rnd.  Being a Linux fan from the early days, I 
have a habit of building things from source :)

Oh, I didn't know that. I figured whatever ./configure complained about 
missing was the packages I needed to make it work. Thanks for telling me 
that.
