Subject:[pcb-rnd] release status, code freeze
Dear pcb-rnd users and developers,

we are going to have a scheduled release (2.1.1) on 13th February. We are
entering code freeze tomorrow morning (CET). Everything is going as
planned so far, thanks for everybody for the bugreports and ACKs!

The code freeze means: the code in trunk/ is really pretty much what we
are going to release as 2.1.1. Please test it in production and report
bugs. I will sort the incoming bugs and will fix only the most critical
ones for the release (to reduce the risk of introducing new bugs by code
changes that we won't have the time to test).

If you are a developer, during the 1 week freeze please do not add new
feature and don't fix non-critical bugs in any part of the code that is
built by default. We can still work on disabled-by-default code and we
_should_ work on documentation (contact me if you have some time).

If you are a packager, please consider doing a release candidate test
packaging to be able to report build/install bugs before the release.

Best regards,

Igor2
