Yep, that fixed it.
I confirm that auto_place is now present in the config file, and that =
the window geometry is restored when pcb-rnd is launched, as desired.

Actually one list per tab. The list for the "general" was simply missing =
this item. I still see 7 settings on the gui and the list is only 6 =
items long, so I will go and recheck all these lists.)
